The RTP Q-Switch has become a key component in modern laser systems due to its outstanding performance and broad applicability. Designed for tasks such as laser Q-switching, pulse picking, phase modulation, cavity dumping, and attenuation, the RTP Q-Switch is highly valued in precision optical control. Its robust electro-optic properties and versatile capabilities make it suitable for a wide range of advanced photonic applications.
One of the most significant advantages of the RTP Q-Switch is its low operating voltage. For example, the QR5510A model has a half-wave voltage of approximately 2000V, making it energy-efficient and easy to integrate into compact laser systems. The RTP Q-Switch also supports a broad operating wavelength range from 420 nm to 2800 nm, covering a variety of laser sources, including the commonly used wavelengths of 755 nm, 1030 nm, 1064 nm, 1535 nm, 2100 nm, and 2780 nm.
The RTP Q-Switch is engineered for durability and reliability, with a wide operating temperature range from -50°C to +70°C. It features an exceptionally high resistivity of over 10¹¹ Ω•cm, contributing to excellent electrical insulation and operational stability. In high-energy environments, the RTP Q-Switch demonstrates a high damage threshold exceeding 10 J/cm² at 1064 nm (10 ns, 10 Hz), making it ideal for demanding laser applications.
In addition to its resilience, the RTP Q-Switch ensures minimal signal loss with an insertion loss of less than 1% at 1064 nm. Its non-hygroscopic nature prevents degradation from moisture, supporting long-term stability even under challenging environmental conditions. Furthermore, the RTP Q-Switch does not exhibit piezoelectric ringing, making it well-suited for high repetition rate applications up to 100 kHz.
